I saw the 'Martin and Lewis' movie on tv the other day, but it was in french.. Unfortunity i don't speak enough french to be able to watch a whole movie and understand it! Has anyone seen the 'Martin and Lewis' movie..? What was it like..? Was it good..? Or worth watching..? From what i could tell, it looked pretty..i don't know..corny..? It was weird hearing Deans' voice, and seeing it come from a guy who looks nothing like him, and doesn't even have that 'cool' vibe.. I don't know..it was strange..but i would still like to hear from the people who have seen it!

I liked it alot as I recall but I have seen it for many many moons. Perhaps that french out of sync voice may have threw it off.

I watched it and loved it, but I too have not seen it in forever They never replay it over here. If I remember right, it was put out right around the time of the book, "Dean and Me: A Love Story," and I think it touched on most of the things in there, however, I do remember more of Jerry's father in the movie, as well as Patty. There are only a few scenes I remember, but probably not in such great detail, and out of context they're not much. I hope you get to see it in English sometime though!

You know I actually recorded this on VHS when it first aired but don't think I still have it. Do you think any bootleg dvd sites might have it? I haven't checked the official status of it on DVD or VHS tape but from the sounds of you all, I have a feeling that it has never been released in either of those two formats.

I guess there were some copies of it floating around for those people who had to watch it to cast votes for the awards ceremonies and such, but I'm sure those have long since been sold off. I think a few years ago they replayed it, but unfortunately, I had to work, so didn't get a chance to watch it. I'd keep looking on bootleg sites, and maybe even E-bay.

I've seen it on ebay numerous times. I actually have it on VHS from when it first aired, but I don't have a DVR to transfer it from vhs to dvd

Alright, so I went and searched and found two copies. The one went for $40 and was ending soon and had zero bids, but I didn't bid on it because I thought that was an insane price. So, now I'm stuck bidding on this one that is now up to $41 and has two days left, but I haven't been outbid yet, I just hope that the person who was outbidding me isn't crazy enough to bid something like $50 for this film. I really want it!

Hey Megg, when you bid on ebay...try waiting untill the last minute before making any bid. That way you can keep the price low and increase your chance in winning the bid. It works for me

That's what I did with my scrapbook -- waited until the very last 8 seconds. Scared my dad and myself half to death, but it worked!

Yep! But oh boy are those last seconds terrifying! Once I was so sure I would get the object because there were no other bidders and no bids were made so far and when I made my move in the last minute, suddenly I got outbid by 2 seconds!! Man I let out a scream I didn't know I had in me! Ohh I was so furious and dissapointed. I think I ate my first keyboard right there and then.

It's a good thing you were not bidding against me as I always wait until 4 seconds to place my bid. An interesting story and slightly funny (for you all I guess but not me at the time) was that I bid on a rare Jim Reeves item one time and I bid 50 dollars. However, I forgot to put the .00 for cents and it listed my bid at 5000 and I won the item at some figure like 3500. I was able to straighten it out but did have to pay the seller the listing fee for the item. This was the result of waiting till the 4 second rule and having no time at all to correct the mistake. Rule number one for anyone getting ready to bid on an item is never advertise that fact to others on a message board who may end up bidding against you and costing you more money or costing you to lose the auction. I never post anything from ebay that I want until after the auction is over.

No actually it was some orginal studio reel to reels from his 12 songs of Christmas album with studio chatter not on the original CD. I thought no one had spotted it and I was going to get it for a steal.
