i liked this movie but its the inaccuracies that bugged me a little, tho i understand they've got to cover 10 years in an hour and a half, but why have jerry hurt his back 10 years before it really happened.. bit confused
i also didn't like how they made out jerry pretended to be sick when he wasn't getting enough attention.. who knows it might be true but it just doesn't seem to fit right.
think patty was portrayed as too naive and generally the film seemed too rushed.
sean hayes didn't look or sound like jerry but he was still really great

After reading a bit of Deana's book, not to get off topic, but Deana writes that Jeanne would throw mirrors through shower doors and scream at Dean when she was sleeping, and Jeanne's hollers would wake her up. Then theres talk in the book about Jeanne saying that 'Dean was a quiet man, not happy, a loner'. But Dean was always a happy guy, talked all the time and loved to hang with people. So I'm kinda wondering about Jeanne. Wow! I never knew that! Maybe Dean was a happy guy and loved to hang out with people in public because that was the only place he could be himself and truly happy. I'm sure his kids made him happy, but if I had to go home and get that kind of abuse, I probably wouldn't want to go home too often lol.

I've now seen parts of it on youtube and I wasn't satisfied. I already expected that I wouldn't like it. though these actors did a good job they are only copies and I found myself comparing them to the originals all the time. I think they oriented themselves a little bit too much by the characters dean and jerry played in their movies. i prefer the movies with the real martin and lewis and if I want to know anything about their career I read "dean and me"....
