Hi everyone, i can't tell you all how flippin chuffed i am to find this board! My best friend and sister love Jerry Lewis but aren't obsessed to the point that im at.. yet! so i always feel a bit embarrassed talking about jerry all the time.
lol i even got my neices obessesed with jerry! my 2 year old neice copies the dance he does in the kitchen in cinderfella.
so yeah, huge jerry lewis fan (dean is awesome too!) im 23 from england so they dont show many of his films here. but what was really weird was that i bought his book 'dean and i' and then the next day they had 3 different movies on. bizarre.
but im building up a collection of lewis films, which often means buying them from america.
sorry for rambling, i get a bit carried away sometimes
hope to talk to lots of you soon
Kelly x

Well gosh, you sure did come to the right spot if you're addicted to Jerry! So do you buy from Ebay and Amazon? I do that A LOT, actually, everyone here does. Surprisingly, you can't find too much Martin and Lewis stuff here in America in the stores so we have to resort to Ebay and Amazon. Awwwww, you're little neice likes Jerry, too? That's so neat! I know when I first got addicted to Jerry I had the entire family watch his movies; then I got obsessed with Dean and it just turned into a forrest fire! Rule 1: Never feel sorry for rambling -- that's what makes our conversations fun! If you don't ramble, you're considered 'strange'. Rule 2: Crazy is welcomed...with open arms. The crazier the better!

thanks loads for the reply. I buy off of amazon, i can't be doing with all that bidding and waiting and what not with ebay.
I've managed to buy about 5 movies in uk stores so i think i'm lucky. I've downloaded some as well, but i've bought a few dvd's just for the commentaries, which is quite sad but never mind.
i'm surprised my neices like martin and lewis films, my 5 year old neice is learning to write and she copies dean and jerry's name over and over, and practically wet herself laughing at 'sailor beware'.. i was surprised cuz kids today dont like black and white stuff.
just downloaded loads of their radio shows so im sat here chuckling to myself.
with those rules i shall fit in well, im rather a crazy rambler ;D

Hi! I'm Rose. I'm not obsessed with Jerry Lewis, but I certainly DO love him! I think he's one of the best comedians of all times!
What's your favorite movie with him in it? What about on the Colgate Comedy Hour? Have a favorite episode.
Message me whenever you want!

Hey Kelly!
I know how you feel. I'm obsessed too (and sadly haven't seen many of his solo movies) and I get the strangest looks from my family and boyfriend when I talk about Jerry, let alone try to show them movies and pictures!
Kim, I know how you feel too. I've been falling for Dean since I first started liking Jerry lol. This is like a forest Fire!

lol! Does your boyfriend approve of your obsessions, nutsaboutjerry?? :-P I know mine wouldn't--if I had one that is. Luckily I'm single though so I can be obsessed and not feel guilty. ~Rose

Oddball: He knows he's safe since Jerry's old and well, a celebrity haha. Besides, he's started to have this thing for Betty Grable, and I let him have his obessions lol.

I never saw the big deal in letting your husband/wife or boyfriend/girlfriend have their celebrity obsessions. It's not like we'd ever get a chance to date those people anyways lol, so I guess we're all safe haha.

Yes; and since I'm a writer, I am entited to have my major quirks so that gives me a little bit of a disadvantage. I have a very plausible excuse: WritersRWeird. Just kidding. ~Rose

Rightly put, sister! It's all too true and us writers know it! It's just that some writers have more quirks than others!

I guess it's true of everyone haha. But who judges quirky? I may be seen as quirky for dressing vintage and bobbing my hair, but I may think somebody else is quirky for not doing it.
