I know this may be very difficult, but if you could choose only one...which Gary movie would be your favorite and why?

Now that is REALLY hard. WHAT A QUESTION! I am a person who is not really able to make a desicion for only one thing.. and now that... but... I will choose "Ball Of Fire"... I fell in love with him in this movie.. so it must be that one.. even if it was so hard to choose..

I voted for Meet John Doe b/c like Nicotschka and Ball of Fire, I fell in love with Gary while watching MJD. I've always had a weakness for 'pitiful' men in the movies or on tv. If they're down on their luck or going through a hard time (and good looking I mean I don't want an ugly bum) then I'm a pushover for them. As soon as we see Gary in MJD you know he's a homeless guy whose hit a rough patch. His clothes are torn and he's got a little facial scruff and looks a little dirty and that's when I fell head over heels in love with the man!!! He's also got his shirt unbuttoned a little bit and you can see his glorious chest hair . By the end of that movie he had me in tears and I was beggin him not to jump off the building. He had one tear running down his cheek and...I better stop or I won't be able to get back to work when my lunch break if over - ha!

Yeah! The underdog, right? I love shy guys. This is probably just me and Theresa, but we don't like built, overly-muscular men. They're just...ick, I don't know, it seems like it's all put on. I like the lanky type with the shy attitude, the boyish charm and the sweet smile. Oh pally, you got me crying, too! *Collapses on Angie and continues to sob*

I'm just 5'4" and around 120 and I just love tall guys. I think they look so cute with pettite women. The tallest guy I've ever dated though was 5'11". That's still quite a bit taller than me but my dream man would be around the 6'3" to 6'5" range.

They grow 'em tall here in Minnesota; my brother and Dad are both 6'2-6'4 and my mom and I are 5'9. lol, We're a tall family. I don't know why but I wouldn't marry anyone under 6'0

Me too, me too.. that's why I got hooked about him.. through the most of his movies, his parts, no matter if he played a hero or a (beautiful) bum, a baseball player, a westerner or whatever, he has this boyish charme.. his shy smile... his typical mannerisms.. which make you wanna hug him all the time.

LOL, YES!! I just want to hug him all the time, during any scene or point in time--even when he was putting up his dukes in Ball of Fire, ready to fight that other guy; I would have just run up, given him a hug and stuck to him like fly paper

Gary was definitely the most huggable man I have ever seen!! Mr. Deeds is also one of my very, very faves and in the scene at the restaurant where the poets are making fun of him and he says the poems he writes are the best he can do and people like them just gets me right in the gut and I just want to grab him and give him the biggest hug and tell him he's perfect just like he is. There are so many times too when he's just sitting in a chair or something and my mind just wanders and I think about wanting to just crawl up there and go to sleep in his lap

My was Sgt York too, but it was really hard for me to decide. But there is so many sides of this movie that I'm really love and religios theme of it always strikes me. I've heard that Hawks built many artifishial things for it, but it is beautiful. My favorite Hawks movie too. And of course Mr.Cooper is great in it, so natural. The Fountainhead isn't in the list, as The love in the Afternoon - they are very close behind for me - always love them. And Capra movies of course.
