I love Dean, The Mills Brothers, the Cole Porter Songbook stuff, Bing Crosby, The Glenn Miller Orchestra with Tex Beneke, Benny Goodman, The Beatles, Rooney, Ella Fitzgerald, Gene Krupa, John and Yoko, The Platters...and as you can see, I could just keep on going and going.
If I just happen to like a certain lyric or the tune of the song, I just like it...I'm not really picky about what I listen to, it doesn't have to be a certain era...just as long as I like what it sounds like. On my MP3 player you might have a Dean song followed by a Queen song followed by Ella singin'...it just depends a lot on what sort of mood I'm in as well...

And i looove Michael Buble!
I'v had people laugh at me when they come over because i'll be playing Dean Martin, and the next song to come on will be something by Alexisonfire (Who is a big screamy band) or like, Metallica.
And if you've never heard of Colin James, check out his Little Big Band stuff. (If you like that type)

Yes I am very familar with Keith Green. Actually I know just about every detail of his life and air plane crash. Somewhere I actually have the detailed report of the plane crash where it was determined the plane was overloaded by 445 pounds. I also have his video bible studies and such. I am very familar with most of the 70's and 80's Christian musicians. You just can't put 4 adults and 8 children on a 7 seat plane. Here's one of the reports I found again: www.ntsb.gov/ntsb/brief.asp?ev_id=20020917X03242&key=1Most of the musicians listed above I seldom listen to. My top four would be Jim Reeves, Marty Robbins, Don Francisco and Keith Green. You could expect to see any of those four in my car stereo at any time or day of the week. Somehow I don't know how I left Keith off of my list. Tennesee Ernie Ford is great as well but I just haven't taken the time or money to collect most of his works. I tend to gravitate to singers that have Christian roots.

Yes I really enjoy Hank SR's music and in particular his talking albums under Luke the Drifter. I especially like Jim Reeves versions on the "Talking To your Heart" album of Hanks Men With Broken Hearts and Too Many Parties and too many Pals.
I also love Johnny Cash but probably not as much as the rest of the world does. He is very good with his own songs but butcherd many of Jim Reeves songs on re-recordings of them and also didn't do a very good version at all of Don Francisco's He's Alive. But the one's he wrote and recorded he was the best at doing them.

I must admit though that my musical tastes have changed quite a bit over the years. I use to like very hard core groups like Quiet Riot, The Scorpians, AC/DC exc when I was still in school, but over the years it has changed over and over again to what I have known for the last 10 years or so as the "Jim Reeves" phase. To be honest I use to be into most of the groups mentioned above as well as others alot more intensely than what I am now. I suppose that my discovery of Jim Reeves and Marty Robbins about 10 years ago has even pushed out most of the Christian groups that I listened to religiously back in the mid 90's. I use to be a fanatical Don Francisco fan and ran his entire official web site from about 1996 to 2001 and then took on a filming and mp3 role after that and have traveled with him on many US eastern tours. But now I'm even on a sabatical from that. I guess you could say that I'm in the Jim Reeves and Gary Cooper lazy years right now (picturing Gary Cooper doing one his famous yawns).
