Documentary: Fat, Sick and Nearly Dead

Dustin and I had just watched a documentary yesterday called, "Fat, Sick and Nearly Dead" and I cannot explain how deeply it effected both of us in such a powerful way.

Here's the synopsis:

100 pounds overweight, loaded up on steroids and suffering from a debilitating autoimmune disease, Joe Cross is at the end of his rope and the end of his hope. In the mirror he saw a 310lb man whose gut was bigger than a beach ball and a path laid out before him that wouldn't end well -- with one foot already in the grave, the other wasn't far behind. The man lost so much weight while doing this juice therapy every day for 60 days; he was able to gradually get off ALL of his medications; he had so much energy and he seemed more happy. It's amazing and very simple. Here's one of the recipes:

6 kale leaves
1 cucumber
4 celery stalks
2 apples
1/2 lemon
lump of ginger

Dustin and I are both starting on this fast on Saturday; for 10 days (if not longer) to hopefully rid ourselves of all the toxins and sicknesses in both of us.
