*Kim stands in front of an elegantly full length mirror but looks to the ground as a flock of women get her dressed for the ceremony. Some women work on her hair while others fix on her dress. She takes a deep sigh and shakes her head*
If Longfellow knew about this he'd never forgive me...*Kim continues to stare at the ground when Robin steps in and leans against the door frame*
Robin: Wow, you look very handsome, mi-lady.
*Kim looks up to him and nods*
Kim: Thank you...
Robin: Will you be ready in 20 minutes?
*Kim looks to the women; they nod*
Kim: I guess so.
*Robin smiles at her with a twinkle in his eye*
Robin: Wonderful. Everyone is waiting...
*Robin walks away.*
'Everyone is waiting'... *she chuckles faintly*
Hundreds of people are waiting, yet the only thing I care about is the one person who's been waiting longest...Kim: ...Deeds.
Woman: Mi-lady?
*Kim snaps out of it*
Kim: Oh...nothing; nevermind.
*The woman laces up the final string and dusts off her train (hehe, that's amusing). Kim looks up and gasps when she sees the dress*
Kim: I look like a princess!
Woman: You will be, mi-lady.
*Kim looks to the woman, surprised*
Kim: What?
Woman: The word around town is that Prince Robin plans to announce his engagement to you before the ceremony.
Kim: But he can't--I'm married!
Woman: What, mi-lady?
Kim: I'm already married!
Woman: Why that's...that's...
Kim: Bigamy!
Woman: No, mi-lady! That's TERRIBLE of you!
*Kim shakes her head, frustrated and walks to the window, looking out among all the thousands of people*
Kim: I have to escape! I can't go through with this...
*The woman looks around frantically, trying to find a place to get Kim out when one of the guards knocks on the door. Kim and the woman look toward the door and gasp*
Kim: Not now!
*The guard walks in*
Guard: Your public awaits--
Kim: No! I won't do it! I can't!
*The guard pulls Kim by the arm, down a long hallway. They come to a wide open balcony; Kim looks down. Deeds walks in back of the castle where people are whooping and hollering. He walks through the crowds.*
Robin: And I would like to ask for her hand in marriage...
*Kim gasps and looks to Robin.*
Kim: Robin, I--
*The familiar voice draws Deeds' attention; he immediately looks up to the balcony and finds Kim standing a little too close, for his comfort, next to Robin*
Robin: I know we've only known each other for a week but I fell in love with you the very moment I laid eyes on you...and that terribly awkward wardrobe of yours...
*Deeds seethes with jealousy and bounds up the stairs, off to the side of the balcony*
Deeds: Leave her alone, Robin hat.
Robin: Hood, my good man...HOOD!
Kim: Longfellow! Darling!
*Kim collapses into his embrace. Deeds holds her close and kisses her softly*
Robin: That's my fiance'!
Deeds: But she's
my wife.
*Robin looks to Kim, confused*
Robin: So you weren't lying?
*Kim shrugs*
Deeds: Besides...she never said yes.
