Doesn't New York have a section known as 'Little Italy'? I'm sure that's what you were thinking I'm actually have to work at work right now so I'll update later this afternoon.

*The next morning they all board the train at Grand Central station for the last leg of their journey home. They sit in the dining car enjoying breakfast and watching the scenery roll by.*
Theresa: It's so wonderful to be almost home.
Sam: I can't wait to meet your dad. *He said snuggling closer to her.*
Kim: Dad!! *She shouted causing James to spill some of his coffee in his lap.* Did anyone remember to let him know that we're coming home.
Angie: I thought you were going to send him a telegram from New York?
Kim: No, I thought you were gonna do it.
Theresa: *getting up* I'll go do it. The conductor can send one from his office.
Angie: Thanks Sis!
Kim: Wait! What are you gonna tell him?
Theresa: That we're all coming home and we'll be there in a couple days.
Kim: Don't tell him that we're married. Let's surprise him, huh?
Theresa: Okay.
*Two days later they arrive at the station in San Diego. The air is sweet with the smell of flowers and salt air blowing in from the harbor nearby. The three girls get off the train while the guys go to the luggage car to collect their belongings.*
Angie: There he is!!
*They spot their dad among the crowd and rush up to him smothering him with hugs and kisses.*
Dad: I missed you girls so much!! I'm so glad you're home! *he said through his tears.*
Theresa: Oh we missed you too.
Dad: Come on, let's get your things and then let's go home.
Kim: The guys are getting our luggage.
Dad: What guys?
Angie: Our husbands.
Dad: What!!
Angie: We got married Dad.
Dad: All of you? *he said with a mixture of confusion and happiness*
Kim: Yep, we sure did. You'll love them Dad, they're all so wonderful.

dad: this is the happiest day of my life! all of my little girls are all grown up and..*sniffs*...married!
angie, theresa, and kim all look at him and smile
kim:yep
angie:well at least he admitted that were all grown up
theresa: thats true, remember when he always used to say that we were the silliest little girls in the whole neighborhood
angie: uh..it was more like, the whole city.
kim: shes right
theresa: oh yeah.
sam, jim, and james walk up with all their luggage
dad:just put it all down right there by the door and let me take a good look at you three.
all the sudden the guys gulp loudly and put on faces as if they were extremely scared of him
kim: do you see what i see girls?
angie: they look a little scared to me
theresa:aawww, our little soldiers arent smiling
they giggle as dad struts right and left in front of their men looking them over.
dad:so you have decided to love, honor, and cherish my little girls till the day they die have you?
angie:oh, now were his little girls again*they all giggle quietly*
sam: yes sir!
jim: till th day they die
james: absolutely!
dad: well then...*a long pause and the guys start to sweat because they are getting really nervous, but then dad breaks the ice*...come on, im hungry, lets all have a long talk!*he says with a broad smile*
all the guys relax with a sigh of relief
kim:*whispering to angie and theresa* so when do we tell dad he is going to be a grandpa?
theresa:uh....
angie: i dont know
theresa: why dont we wait till after we eat
angie: yeah, he is usually most docile then.
kim: sounds good to me.

As the 7 sit down for dinner, the three girls all have something to tell their dad, but none of them want to be the first to spill the news. "These carrots sure are sweet, aren't they?" Theresa smiles, trying to pass the awkward silence with nonsense conversation. "They sure are!" Angie agrees. Angie and Theresa look to Kim, waiting for what she'll respond with. "You know what else are sweet? Babies." Kim replies, taking a bite of her potatoes. Angie and Theresa nudge Kim and shake their heads. The boys shoot a glare over to Kim, as if to say, "don't anger the man; we're trying to get on his good side." "They sure are sweet, my dear." Father replies, not breaking from his meal once. "They sure are....." Kim says, almost in a daze, taking a long pause. "Between Angie, Theresa and I, we're gonna have three!" She says chipperly, then stuffs her mouth full of carrots. No one says a word. Their father pauses, then sets down his fork. "You're going to what?" Theresa speaks up and smiles, holding Sam's hand. "Sam and I..." Angie holds Jim's hand and smiles. "Jim and I..." Kim takes James' hand and smiles. "James and I..." All: Are gonna have a baby. The girls smile nervously and wait for their fathers reaction. "My baby girls are gonna have babies of their own?" He asks, sounding hurt. "They'll have wonderful families, dad. These boys are amazing men..." Angie replies. "And they'll be even more amazing as daddies." Theresa adds, gazing into Sam's eyes. "We'll all live close to each other and they'll be raised with all the love in the world." Kim adds, hoping to win her father's approval. "I couldn't be more happy, girls!" Their father shouts in overwhelming joy. "I couldn't have asked for better daughters; and now I'll have granddaughters that will be just as perfect!" "But how do you know they'll be girls, sir?" Jim inquires, squeezing Angie's hand, both wanting a boy to get into the big leagues in baseball. "Well, I just assumed--" Their father begins. "Don't worry, sir; whoever they are...if they recieve just half the love that you've given your three girls...they won't be anything less than perfect; we'll see to that." James replies, his arm wrapped around Kim's shoulder, gazing into her eyes. "I've always been leary of soldiers dating my little girls, but I never realized that once I sent my little girls out to that military hospital, that women would return, having found love in the trenches. I give you boys my heart-felt welcome into this family, and to my girls...I give you my blessings." Father smiles, looking at each one of his girls with a bright smile on his face; the men give their girls a proud smile and all hug.

Time passes and the girls near their due dates. They've found nice homes in the same neighborhood and the boys all have good jobs. Finally the babies arrive and they are beautiful and healthy; a girl for Sam and Theresa and Kim and James, and a little boy for Jim and Angie. Spring soon followed the babies arrival and each couple enjoyed taking their new bundles of joy to the park.
Theresa: It's another beautiful day. *she said with her arm around Sam's as he pushed the stroller through the park.*
Sam: It sure is. *he said sweetly as he looked at their beautiful baby girl and then kissed Theresa on the cheek*
Theresa: You're so sweet.
James: So when are we gonna have another one? *he asked Kim as she pushed their baby girl in her stroller*
Kim: *laughing* Oh not for a while sweetie.
James: Well can we at least practice? *he whispered in her ear*
Kim: James *she said pretending to be stunned* behave!
Jim: So do you think he'll be a pitcher or a position player? *he asked Angie as he proudly pushed his son's stroller.*
Angie: Well I've always been partial to catchers.
Jim: I guess that would be okay *he smiled as he put an arm around Angie's waist.*
They continued on through the park enjoying the beautiful day and the sweet smell of the spring flowers all around them. The horrors of war were now far behind them as they looked to their futures which were as bright as the California sunshine.
The End
