LOL come on! there has to be more Christmas movies on your list, right? I always watch It's A Wonderful Life while I am decorating this Christmas tree, I swear my parents won't even put one up when I leave. A few years ago when I first started decorating the tree I didn't know how to put the lights on it so I did the best I could. When my dad saw it he said "that is the last time I let a musician decorate my tree" LOL

Do you like Holiday Inn? I grew up with White Christmas and didn't actually hear about Holiday Inn until a few years ago.

Yes, but I like White Christmas better. I adore Danny, but don't much care for Bing.

Yeah I like White Christmas more. Do you just not like Bing or just not in that movie? I don't admire is acting skills as much as his singing though...he influenced so many people including Frank, Dean, and Perry. Well, to each there own!

How could you not like Bings voice? he has such a pure baritone. He is one of the BEST male pop singers in the last hundred years, his upper-mordant is unmatched! I can give it to Fred Astaire for his great dancing skills, but his voice compared to Bings is very weak. The only pop vocalists that could ever compare(in quality) to Bing is probably Nat Cole, Sinatra, or Dean. The pop singers that came after these guys were garbage and the ones that came before them were tenors...need I say more?

I am sorry. I know the good Lord created everyone special, with different likes and dislikes. I am just really passionate about music. I like to see great talent get recognized ( be it Bing, Bach, Bizet, Berlioz, or Billie!).

hey jolly!!!! okay bing, compared to someone like frakie sinatra, just sounds dead. im sorry, i dont mean to be rude, b/c i dont like doing that, but bing could have a little more spunk in his voice. i guess if you like him, thats okay. everyone has their own opinions. i like bach, strauss, mozart, and all those too, and even billie. heehee!

Bing didn't need spunkiness, he was known for his relaxed voice and personality. He had enough talent to do without that bad boy persona (such as Frank had( I am NOT saying Frank had no talent)). I like Frank alot also, I have alot of his music and Bings. They both have very powerful voices but in different ways. It is all about dynamics-no one likes too loud or too soft all the time? Don't worry you were not being rude and I hope I don't come off as rude. Thanks for the reply.
ps I hope you meant Ricard Strauss and not Johann???!!!
do have any favorite American composers? MacDowell? Copland? Ives?
