Information from www.imdb.comPlot OverviewIn 1927, Don Lockwood and Lina Lamont are a famous on-screen romantic pair. Lina, however, mistakes the on-screen romance for real love. Don has worked hard to get where he is today, with his former partner Cosmo. When Don and Lina's latest film is transformed into a musical, Don has the perfect voice for the songs. But Lina - well, even with the best efforts of a diction coach, they still decide to dub over her voice. Kathy Selden is brought in, an aspiring actress, and while she is working on the movie, Don falls in love with her. Will Kathy continue to "aspire", or will she get the break she deserves ? Gene Kelly is brilliant in this, as he is in all of his films! Most people say that Debbie Reynolds can't dance, but I think she does a wonderful job holding her own out there with two of the worlds greatest dancers! This is the ulitmate feel good movie!

I saw this movie, gosh, like a month ago. I LOVED it but I couldn't finish it Donald was adorable! I think my two favorite parts (I'm sure I'll have more once I actually finish the film, but until I do) were the 'Make 'em laughs' scene and 'Fit as a fiddle'. They're both amazing AND hilarious! I have the soundtrack...I can send the songs over if you'd like...

Thanks but I've got the songs. This is my all time favorite movie and I'm absolutely obsessed. I could probably quote it to you from the beginning lol! Aww, you should definitely finish this film! I love certain parts of the "All I Do is Dream of You" scene and I loved the "Make 'Em Laugh" and of course, "Singin' in the Rain." Oh, I just love the whole movie!

Yes! I love Donald in it, too. "Make 'em Laugh" and "Fit as a Fiddle" as I've said before. ;D I STILL have to finish that ending, though

My first exposure to Singing In The Rain was seeing the statue at the wax museum in Buena Park when my father and I went through it and I asked him, "Why's that guy dancing in the rain." "AW, he's all happy because this girl was gonna marry him," he responded.
Never thought much more of that.
Did finally see the film years later and enjoyed it though I am not real big on musicals.
