I just watched a movie I haven't seen in a very long time last night---Guess Who's Coming to Dinner (1967). What a brave job the director Stanley Kramer did in directing this fantastic comedy that also brought to us not only comedy but a chance to see that race issues can be overcome here in America and that the pigment of the skin should not make any difference on how we perceive people. The 1967 groundbreaking story dealt with the controversial subject of interracial marriage which was still illegal in 17 Southern U.S. States up until June 12 of that year after the Supreme Court decision in Loving v. Virginia struck down that raciest law that many states had on their books. How can you not enjoy a movie that stars: Spencer Tracy, Sidney Poitier, and Katharine Hepburn I give 5 stars to this one!!

I got home from work just in time to catch the last parts of this movie, but I was totally engrossed. I loved it and would love to see the whole thing.

You probably know that Hepburn & Tracy both, put up their salaries, for this movie. When Tracy speaks about "if it's half of what we had" Pass the Kleenex. The look on Hepburn's face, more than the movie, that's her love for him. This was the last movie he did. Shortly after he died. They had a real love story,on & off the screen.
