Watched High Noon and For Whom the Bell Tolls today. I thought High Noon was a much better film over all even though someone gave me a copy with COMMERCIALS in it. Will the torture never end? Good stuff really though.

There weren't comme--oh wait, for High Noon? Yeah, that one's a stinker, but you have to admit...it was worth it

Yes you were right. Does that surprise you? I enjoyed both of them very much. It was very insightful to see where more modern movies steal their material.

I want to copy what you just said and hang it as a banner over Hollyweird. It surprises me because I do not hear it flat out most of the time

The comedies are "Seven Days' Leave" (iffy) and "Desire"
The silent is "Lilac Time"
And the dramas are the rest.
I can't wait to get the others and have you watch them; I know you'll love them.

Well, you have to want to watch it; like anything else. If you're forced into watching them then it isn't enjoyable. If I'm pushing them on you please let me know; I'll understand And if you want more, let me know that, too, lol. I love sharing stuff with people.

It was no such thing! Dribble? That's baby spit; your stuff was great! Well, since you added another page you'll have to come over and mom and I will...be nice. Your stuff is wonderful, believe me. Well, I'm glad I could introduce you to something you haven't seen or known about before; that's a first. I asked Taylor this because he HATES Gary Cooper, but who do you think, by watching his movies and hearing about him, he is in personality? Taylor thought he was the first Tom Cruise!

I'm glad you're enjoying Gary's movies David I gotta warn you though, he's pretty addictive. He made so many great movies and even his 'mediocre' ones are better than anything that's out nowadays. Personally I love them all (even The Fountainhead which is my least fave has its good moments).

Finished watching Mr. Deeds. Best of the Coop films that I've seen. I just loved the line about that lawyer. "Even his hands are oily"

Mr. Deeds is in my top five fave of his movies and I just LOVE it!!!! I am totally in love with Frank Capra too and it's one of his best films. Jean Arthur is also one of my very fave actresses so there's lots to love about this movie. He got his first Oscar nomination for this one too. He just did such a wonderful job of playing an innocent, somewhat naive but not stupid character. A lesser actor may not have been able to pull that off.

Yep, Deeds was my first Gary movie; I've seen it more times than I can count. "There once was a man named Cobb who kept Semple away from the mob. Came the turn of the tide and Semple he died. Now poor Cobb's...out of a job" There are so many great parts to that movie; it's just too bad Adam Sandler re-did it. Bluebeard's Eighth is just insane. It's a pure comedy with Claudette Colbert; if you like wacky goofball movies....it will be your new favorite ;D
