The Naked Edge Alias Jesse James The Hanging Tree Blowing Wild Distant Drums Unconquered Casanova Brown (But that's on in June or July) The Plainsman (I've seen it but can't find it ANYWHERE) Lilac Time

The Naked Edge Alias Jesse James The Hanging Tree Blowing Wild Distant Drums Unconquered Casanova Brown (But that's on in June or July) The Plainsman (I've seen it but can't find it ANYWHERE) Lilac Time
Out of these I will tell you a little info on these:
1)The Hanging Tree I have a great copy of this on dvd-r tranferred from VHS. 2)Blowing Wild DVD-R transferred from VHS A little High on contrast but still very good picture quality 3) Alias Jesse James don't have but Coop only has a cameo in it. 4) The Naked Edge very good dvd-r transferred from VHS 5) Distant Drums Got a factory pressed dvd of it but movie may be Cooper's worst picture 6) The Plainsman factory pressed dvd of it - very very good movie. 7) Lilac time got dvd of it that is very bad for picture quality. I think it was downloaded off the internet at half the normal resolution and when watched on the tv screen it is extremely blurry and pretty much unwatchable 8) Unconquered and CasaNova Brown - both coming out on dvd for the first time in three weeks. I have DVD-R of Casanova Brown transferred from VHS. Unconquered is same way but I think I have that one spread out on two DVD-R's as it is a long movie.

I can record all of them for you if you want except Lilac time as I don't want to waste a good DVD-r on a movie that hurts the eyes.

Also the picture quality is not that great for Unconquered and am hoping that it looks a great deal better in three weeks when it comes out on official dvd.

Woah, where did you get Lilac Time, then?
I've been searching ebay for quite a while but I missed my chance back in December. Don't worry at all about not sending that one, I completely understand; I don't want to use up all your DVDs; you've been so extrememly helpful I don't know what more I can do! ...I'd give you my right arm but....that would be awkward.

I got that one on a trade but believe it was downloaded. I can't remember who I traded with. It may have been Angie. DVD-r's are not a problem but the picture quality is really bad on it. I couldn't get the whole way through watching it. I think I seen somewhere a download site for it. It may have been Youtube or something like it but can't remember.

Wow, so you didn't get through it all?
It looks like an adorable movie. I've heard LimeWire supplies the songs, but does it work for movies, too? I've never tried it...

I'm not sure but the stated resolution when I ran it through my computer was only 350 by 240 and it was very blurry and very hard on the eyes or to make out what was going on. I do know that there are excellent copies of this movie out there but don't know if I would trust ebayers on selling you a good one. I am hoping that TCM runs it one of these sundays when they run all those silent movies.

I will have to put it on again and check it out to see just how bad it is. I may have just had a bad day and wasn't tolerent of watching the picture that day. I'm still trying to get use to watching silent movies.

Oooops, back on topic! Wow, I got so wrapped up I totally forgot this was about quotes! lol
Just a couple quotes from movies that spoke about Gary:
"Curb Your Enthusiasm" (2000) Larry: "By sundown"? What are you... what are you, Gary Cooper? "By sundown"? What's gonna happen?
"Twin Peaks" (1990) {Pilot (#1.1)} Dr. Lawrence Jacoby: [He removes an earplug] Gary Cooper?
Bugs Bunny Rides Again (1948) Bugs Bunny: Heh. Just like Gary Cooper, huh?
Kind of Loving, A (1962) Ingrid: I guess, if I'd been a boy, she would have named me after Gary Cooper.
Nuovo cinema Paradiso (1988) Salvatore: Who said that? Gary Cooper? James Stewart? Henry Fonda? Eh?
Thing from Another World, The (1951) Lt. Ken McPherson: I saw Gary Cooper in "Sergeant York."
I know it's not much, lol, but I think we have most of the quotes already listed here...

"Coop is a right guy, the kind you like to hunt and fish with and not talk about making movies. I laid it on him one time about his romance with Carole and he got pale as hell. She told me about it during a drunken argument we had. After that, Coop and I didn't hunt together so much and when we did, we kept an eye on each other. She used to throw him up to me in my face and that was hard to take, especially since I didn't know the whole truth until years later. I got to admit I was jealous."

That's right, I saw you wrote it on TCM.
They must have updated it a little bit more. That's what I love about a new Gary month, people start uploading new information 'cause they know he'll be researched soon.

"Gary Cooper was a man for whom the word 'handsome' seemed an outrageous understatement."
