Major Lex Kearney, dishonorably discharged from the army for cowardice in battle, has actually volunteered to go undercover to try to prevent raids against shipments of horses desperately needed for the Union war effort. Falling in with the gang of jayhawkers and Confederate soldiers who have been conducting the raids, he gradually gains their trust and is put in a position where he can discover who has been giving them secret information revealing the routes of the horse shipments.Ooooo, Lex Kearney. Hot even when he's old. I thought it was kinda like "The Court-Martial of Billy Mitchel" though I haven't seen that entire film, from the looks of what I had seen I'd say it was close. Anyone else love the beautiful country side and horse scenes in this movie? Geez, I'm getting another obsession

This and Dallas are two good Color westerns for Cooper. It is very nice to see him in some early 50's color westerns.

""The Court-Martial of Billy Mitchel" though I haven't seen that entire film" So what movies (which are not lost or impossable to find) are you still lacking Mrs C. as was thinking with the last batch I sent you, that you had them all like me? Were you able to tape Man of the West and Garden of Evil when they were on TV. I have dvd-r's of those two and also have the PAL region 2 official dvd releases for both of those movies. Well if you can think of any from the imdb database that are not those cameo pictures just let me know. www.imdb.com/name/nm0000011/

I tried taping "Garden of Evil" but that was on at 5:30 in the morning and I missed the first 20-30 minutes, I think. I still need "They Came to Cordura" but that'll be on tv soon, as well as Vera Cruz, but I won't get that until May 22, because that's the only excuse I have to buy his MGM set, lol.
And I do have Man of the West. The only one I don't have is:
The Court Marial of Billy Mitchell, but I just don't know if I want to see it. I'm really not sure why, but I guess I never cared for military movies, but I could be completely wrong - it may be a great movie!
I was also checking IMDb and was surprised to hear someone has seen "Lest we Forget ('37) Gosh, is that even available??
I've tried looking for every possible Gary movie, but I think I may have to start searching under other co-stars. I'm hesitating on buying "The Eagle" I don't think it's even worth it if he's only in the film for 5 seconds...and masked even!

No I never bothered getting the Eagle for the reason you explained. I also never got "It" even though it is suppose to be a very good movie.

I have "It". It's cute, and Gary's "good" in it. lol, How can he be good in, like, a minute of the film? Well, he does it everytime in the his early films.
If you want "it" I can send "it" lol.
...I amuse myself with the stupid things, I know.

Ok two companies released "It". One company was Image entertainment and the other company is something I can't remember. I'm having problems on amazon tonight or I would show you links to both of them.

I have Kino's, though I never really realized anything wrong with the film. It wasn't perfect, but it was far from "Lilac Time"

Hey Yeah I would be interested in seeing what all the fuss was about the "it" girl. I have her Wings movie but I heard that "it" was the best she ever did. Children of Divorce is not suppose to be that good which I can't imagine since it stars Gary cooper in Clara Bow. But maybe someday we will get a chance to see if it's really a stinker.

Yeah, I'd really like to see "Children of Divorce"; smelly or not. I could definately send you "IT" I'll send it with the CDs; those CDs are taking forever because we're babysitting, and the kids are very destructive so Dad's keeping the laptop tucked away and our desktop doesn't read CDs. I spoke with him this evening about it because I felt bad about taking so long, since you're very speedy with the DVDs; he said probably tomorrow at the library. So I hope to get them all out to you by Thursday. Is that getting too late?

No Kim you can send them this week or next. It is fine either way. I am not in hurry for anything except those amazon Gary Cooper dvd's that are shipping out next week. They had better be at my doorstep in 3-5 days or else.
