Awww, that's so sad! I love the quote from Jerry's movie, "Delicate Delinquent" *After reading a note from a lady who tried to commit suicide* I can't live, if it's without love...Jerry: You don't have to live without love....I love you. ;D

I HAVE this movie....I loved it.
I loved the rabbit, too!
'Cause when the rabbit was getting hauled off by the taxi...I was like, "woah...It's Dean and Jerry all over again!"
"Henry.....HENRY! Don't you leave....don't leave! What'll happen to our act?! HENRY!!!"

"The Yesteryears were the years of Happiness, Love and Elegance"
"They're not going to get my money to see the junk that's made today."(1983) - Ginger Rogers
"it's so wonderful....if your whole day is rotten, once they start the music it all seems to melt away"
[On Citizen Kane being colorized] "Keep Ted Turner and his Crayolas away from my movie."
[On rival Joan Crawford]: "She has slept with every male star at MGM except Lassie."
Stan Laurel:
"If any of you cry at my funeral, I'll never speak to you again!"
"He's the type of man who will end up dying in his own arms. - - - Mamie Van Doren (about Warren Beatty)
" Don't let that icy exterior fool you. She's an inferno of passion ! "
-actor Ray Milland's observation about actress Grace Kelly
Mirna Loy about Clark Gable. "We always used to celebrate together at the end of a picture. Clark insisted on it. Maybe we'd include the director, maybe not. It was just a kind of ritual the two of us had. We would share a bottle of champagne while he read poetry to me, usually the sonnets of Shakespeare. He loved poetry, and read beautifully, with great sensitivity, but he wouldn't dare let anyone else know it. He was afraid people would find him weak or effeminite and not the tough guy who liked to fish and hunt. I was the only one he trusted. He never wanted me to tell about this, and here I am giving it away. But I never mentioned it while he was alive."
Oscar Wilde: “Ordinary riches can be stolen, real riches cannot. In your soul are infinitely precious things that cannot be taken from you.”
"When I lose my temper, honey, you can't find it any place." - Ava Gardner
"A career is wonderful, but you can't curl up with it on a cold night." -- Marilyn Monroe with the best argument against feminism
Cary Grant "My formula for living is quite simple. I get up in the morning and I go to bed at night. In between, I occupy myself as best I can."
“I was the shyest human ever invented, but I had a lion inside me that wouldn't shut up!”
“Happiness is good health and a bad memory.”
"Without emotion, there is no beauty."
"I always lie. It entertains me. It's like filling in a coloring book with crayons, it makes my stories brighter."
"Style is what you make of the face you were born with. Frida Kahlo, Georgia O'Keefe, and Anna Magnani--women who I feel have style, allure and elegance --did not submit to any standard of beauty. They defined it. The beauty I admire most doesn't hide flaws but underlines our absolute singularity."
Lucille Ball - "A man who correctly guesses a woman's age may be smart, but he's not very bright"
"Maybe this sounds crazy or egocentric or something to you, but I think there's only one true form of greatness for a man. If a man can bridge the gap between life and death, I mean, if he can live on after he's died, then maybe he was a great man. When they talk about success, they talk about reaching the top. Well, there is no top. You've got to go on and on, never stop at any point. To me the only success, the only greatness for a man, is in immortality. To have your work remembered in history, to leave something in this world that will last for centuries- thats greatness. I want to grow away from all the petty little world we exist in. I want to leave it all behind, all the petty little thoughts about unimportant little things, things that'll be forgotten a hundred years from now anyway. There's a level somewhere where everything is solid and important. I'm going to try and reach up there and find a place I know is pretty close to perfect, a place where this whole messy world should be, could be, if it'd just take the time to learn." -James Dean
"I find television very educating. Every time somebody turns on the set, I go into the other room and read a book." ~ Groucho Marx
" A woman isn't complete without a man. But where do you find a man - a real man - these days? "
"For it was not into my ear you whispered, but into my heart. It was not my lips you kissed, but my soul." -Judy Garland

One of my favorite movies, "Inherit the Wind" You gotta kinda understand what the movie is based on and everything to get the quote, but I think it sort of applied to my town and it has been one of my favorites ever since. It probably applies to everybody elses towns as well. But, anyways, Gene Kelly's in it! It's great, he's hot, but when is he not:
E.K. Hornbeck: Don't worry. I'm not the serpent, Little Eva. This isn't from the Tree of Knowledge. You won't find one in the orchards of Heavenly Hillsboro. Birches, beeches, butternuts. A few ignorance bushes. No Tree of Knowledge.
I don't remember right, but I don't think G.K. is the one to say it. But, I just love the quote and thought I would share it....

Yeah, Coop's got a whole list of great quotes. And it's cool because he doesn't talk a lot through his movies, but when he does it's BAM! amazing ;D
They're all in the "Coop's movies - movie quotes" section.
George Curtis: I haven't got a clean shirt to my name. Tom Chambers: Why a clean shirt? What's up? A romance? George Curtis: I'm not talking pajamas, just a clean shirt.
